The sea has always been a source of inspiration for composers and musicians. With its many moods and colors, the sea is able to reflect all our feelings, from menacing and gloomy to fresh and energetic.

The program of this evening has all those aspects in it. And in addition to the whole palette of feelings that can be heard in the varied compositions for flute, cello and piano, one of the great composers of our time speaks: Kate Moore, an Australian composer who herself is inspired by all facets of nature. Bamboo artist Maria Blaisse takes her most beautiful art with her as a beautiful setting for this inspiring evening.

Peter Verduyn Lunel – fluit
Lidy Blijdorp – cello
Lestari Scholtes – piano
Maria Blaisse – bamboekunst
Kate Moore – compositie
